Our aim is to make the history of this area freely accessible to all

GENERAL MEETINGS

We meet at the RSL, Toorbul Street, Bongaree on the Second Wednesday of the Month (Except January) at 6:30pm on Level 1 in the ANZAC Room.

    A conference to commemorate a small detachment of soldiers, with their wives and children, together with 30 convicts and a surgeon-storekeeper landed at Red Cliff. This convict settlement became the foundation of the State of Queensland.

Established in 2008, the Bribie Island Historical Society's main goal is to share the knowledge of Bribie Island's unique history and heritage.

Following the lead of our founding president Barry Clark, we are making an enthusiastic journey to seek out nuggets of Bribie Island history and pass that information on to others!
